Collaborating with an NGO, we embarked on a conceptual journey, ensuring practical elements like button placements and ports were seamlessly integrated. OMPT is a non-profit organisation that provides government and civil organisations worldwide with cutting-edge video technology, equipment, and training to improve messaging, reach, and impact. OMPT had the vision to develop a portable projector for remote communities. So the NGO asked us to develop a concept design and create a professional illustration for a portable projector. The key design considerations were: size, efficiency, and resistance to water, dust and drops – ensuring that the environmental conditions don't compromise its usability at the location of use.
We gathered input from OMPT which highlighted the need for a view of the actual projector, places for buttons and ports. After revision one, we modified the original drawing based on client feedback, made space for a detachable speaker, and created an alternative design that incorporates a power drill battery.
